Helena Rattray - Te Mana
Ngā Rauru, Ngāi Tahu
Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology
Universal College of Learning, Palmerston North
My role is to provide quality research that involves creating literature reviews, interviews, data analysis, contributing to key research meetings, talking with key sector groups, disseminating research information and contributing to publications. I also supervise community researchers and endeavour to continue my academic learnings.
What I like most about my job is that research is fertile ground for problem solving, I enjoy the challenge that each research project has, and to have the pleasure of exploring the answer to a question is exciting. From the first seeding question, to the research methodology, the ensuing research process followed by the dissemination. I enjoy the structured mash-up of people and theories that aim to improve the health and wellbeing disparities of Māori people.
