Symposium of Māori experiences of intergenerational trauma and recovery

We welcome registration to attend and abstract for this Symposium from current Master’s and doctoral Māori students, those who have completed their studies, community researchers, whānau, hapū, iwi, service providers and others who are interested in Māori experiences of intergenerational trauma and healing.   If you would like to submit an abstract for presentation consideration, you can do so here.

Symposium highlights

We will have three keynote speakers, and via breakout rooms, there will also be:

  • Student, researcher and community presentations,
  • networking opportunities for attendees,
  • discussion on the creation of a Māori postgraduate support group, and
  • kōrero amongst uri of Whanganui iwi regarding research priorities for the iwi and Te Awa Tupua

Important dates:

  • Registrations to attend open: 1 June 2022
  • Registrations to attend close: 16 August 2022 (or before if we have reached maximum attendance)
